In the foreground, a large Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton looms dramatically under dim overhead lighting, its massive skull and open jaws casting shadows. Behind it, faint silhouettes of other dinosaur skeletons and museum display cases are visible in a cavernous hall. The title 'The Paleontologist' appears in bold, white, slightly distressed lettering at the top, with the author's name 'Luke Dumas' in smaller white text below. Book cover for "The Twelve Days of Murder: A Novel" by Andreina Cordani. The design evokes a chilling winter mystery with a snowy, blue-toned background and heavy falling snowflakes. Centered in the lower half is an imposing, old-fashioned manor house with a snow-covered roof, warmly glowing yellow windows suggesting interior life, and surrounded by dark, leafless trees. The title appears in large, bold black capital letters across the upper portion, partially dusted with snow for texture, with "A Novel" in smaller gray text below the house, and the author's name in elegant, icy white letters at the bottom. The overall atmosphere is atmospheric and foreboding, hinting at isolated holiday intrigue.

The design has a solid bright orange background with a centered portrait of the author—a woman with long straight blonde hair decorated with small white flowers on one side, wearing a white lace high-necked dress with long sleeves, and gazing directly at the viewer with wide eyes and a subtle, quizzical expression. The author's name appears in large white letters at the top, the subtitle in blue text on the left, and the main title in oversized bold black letters across the center. A blue praise quote from Patton Oswalt at the bottom reads: “Maria is the kind of comedian you watch and think, ‘I’ve gotta write more and I’ve gotta think deeper’.” The overall aesthetic playfully evokes a quirky, cult-like innocence.
