Free Tax Assistance

Although the library is unable to directly aid its patrons in the filing of their taxes, we are very happy to direct you to agencies and entities that will provide free assistance. And of course the library will print out two copies of any tax form requested, free of charge. Talk to a Reference Librarian!

Free Resources:

The IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs offer free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides free tax assistance with several preparation options now through April 15. Access to the different types of taxpayer assistance varies in each locality.

Ladder Up’s Tax Assistance Program (TAP) connects volunteers with eligible individuals to provide FREE tax preparation of federal and state income tax returns.
