Portrait of a Soldier Memorial Exhibit Reception and Hometown Heroes

The library will host an exhibit from May 24-31 of hand drawn portraits of Illinois service people who have given their lives since 2001. City of Blue Island Hometown Heroes banners, as seen around the city will be displayed in the library clerestory throughout the month of June.

Please join the us for the opening reception with former Illinois Governor Pat Quinn honoring those who have served on May 24, 6 pm on the library’s main floor. Refreshments to follow.
