Blue Island Public Library is seeking a friendly, self-motivated individual to provide excellent customer service and Children’s Program assistance from the library’s busy Children’s Department. This position helps patrons locate materials, develops and implements Children’s programs, and contributes to outreach and collection development activities.

Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Helpful positive attitude
2 or more years of direct customer service experience, library experience preferred
Experience with or the desire to work with children and young adults
Bachelor’s Degree or LTA, MLS candidates encouraged to apply
Knowledge of Children’s literature a plus
Spanish language skills desired
$17.50 per hour doq
