For most of its history, Chicago produced one-third of the nation’s candy. You probably know some of them — Brach’s caramels, Mars Snickers bars, Wrigley’s gum, Cracker Jack, Curtiss Baby Ruth bars, Tootsie Rolls, Frango Mints, Dove chocolates.
